Art for Doggies Part 2

I started out with a whole different plan for my contribution for the Animal Shelter Doggie Auction. Was going to make a telephone doodle poodle, but after I painted him all copper and gold, then added a few doodles, I could see it just wasn't coming together like I had envisioned. On to plan B. Couldn't help but think this little guy needed a coat. So I got out my decorative papers and started to collage a coat. Then added stickers that looked like those used on old luggage.
"Travel Log Dog"
A few torn map pieces were added and the little doggy turned into a Travel Log Dog. The stamps say London, Paris and other exotic places, but the stamp right on the center of his back reads "Home Sweet Home". That's the way I feel every time I take a trip. It's exciting to visit far away places, but coming back home is the best.
Don't forget, if you live in the Portland area, to mark your calender for the Bone Voyage and Doggie Auction at Howden Art December 3rd 6-9PM. All proceeds go to help the Clackamas Co Dog Shelter as they celebrate moving to a new larger building with more room for the dogs.

Update Jan 1: The auction went well I was told. Wasn't able to attend but Annie, gallery owner, said the sweet little art doggies raised over $2700 for the shelter! Hoorah!
