Women Farmers

I live on a farm. We grow lots of trees and cut flowers in our garden. Two horses named, Reyo and Cisco hang out in our back yard pasture.

Reyo, our brand of weed eaterThat is why when I found these two short videos I couldn't resist posting them to my blog. They relate to who I am plus you may find them inspiring as well. Each video depicts the life style of two women farmers and how they live on two separate sustainable farms. Note: If you can't view the videos you can view them on my blog.

Tara Kolla of Silverlake Farms grows beautiful fresh cut flowers in her small 1/2 acre property right outside Los Angeles. She uses no pesticides or commercial fertilizers just lots of rich organic compost to make her flowers grow irresistible.

Michelle Cotton from Inner Gardens raises more than just fresh herbs and vegetables. She has a whole menagerie of farm animals to keep her entertained from sun up to sundown.

Hope you enjoyed watching these two short clips...I leave you now with a fresh bouquet of flowers straight from my garden to you. Enjoy and happy weekend!
